Stegeman Package Design wins Silver Award 2011 from Prestigious Pentawards
Pentawards, the first and only worldwide competition exclusively devoted to packaging design in all its forms, has awarded Stegeman, Campofrio Food Group brand in the Netherlands, with a Silver Award in its 2011 edition for their new salami range packaging. The official ceremony for the awarding of the trophies was held on September 29th in the exceptional setting of Times Square, New York.
Stegeman is part of Campofrio Food Group and is the market leader in the processed meats category in the Netherlands with a history dating back to 1858, when a traditional butcher shop was founded in Deventer by Johannes Stegeman. For the Pentawards 2011 competition Stegeman competed in the Food segment, more precisely in the Savoury Snacks sub-category, winning the Silver Award of 2011 against other leading and recognized world-class companies in the same sector.
This was the 5th edition of the Pentawards competition, whose mission is the promotion of packaging design throughout the world. Companies participate to showcase their most innovative packaging, and are judged by an international jury of 12 professional members, world-renowned experts in packaging design and marketing. The competition is divided into five major packaging categories -Food, Beverage, Body, Other Markets and Luxury- and 44 sub-categories.
As part of the award, Stegeman’s packaging will be featured in the second volume of “The Package Design Book”, an international guide to contemporary packaging design published by Taschen and displayed in January of 2012 at The DesignPack Gallery in Paris.
