The new Campofrio campaign zooms to outer space

The new Campofrio campaign "Astronauts", by filmmaker Benito Zambrano, is a humorous and witty spot that chronicles the adventures of two Spanish astronauts in an important space mission. The campaign invites people to taste the range of snack products recently launched by Campofrio : Minifuets, Mini Pavofrío bars, Jamoninos and Pavoninos.

Together with the Russians, the Americans and a chimpanzee, two Spanish astronauts are part of the first manned mission to Mars. As one of them crosses the final security control, an alarm sets off, and a Campofrio mini fuet hidden in one of the astronauts’ pockets is discovered. The spot then takes on an interesting twist as the astronaut, through an emotional speech, addresses the millions of TV viewers (following the broadcast of the launch), thus winning their sympathy.

The main focus of the spot is the irresistible taste of Campofrio products, a message present in all of the brand’s campaigns. The new products featured in this campaign are Campofrio Snacks: Mini Fuet and Chorizo, Mini Pavofrío bars, Pavoninos and Jamoninos, easy to eat and enjoy anytime, anywhere, thanks to their handy snack-sizing.

The "Astronauts" campaign follows Campofrio line of storytelling: original and humorous ads that connect with consumers. Produced by McCann Erickson, it will air on national TV plus a multimedia campaign with banners, social media activities and public relations.
